💨 Abstract
A major sewer line collapse in D.C. may force officials to release untreated sewage into Beaverdam Creek to prevent flooding in Northeast D.C. neighborhoods. WSSC Water might begin this controlled overflow as early as Sunday night at the Anacostia Wastewater Pumping Station. The move aims to avoid raw sewage flooding streets and homes, with 60-65 million gallons of wastewater needing safe passage daily.
