💨 Abstract
Protesters rallied in Northwest D.C. to oppose President Trump's decision to appoint a federal official, Terry Cole, as the emergency head of D.C. police. The demonstrators, including various age groups and individuals with disabilities, chanted and marched to show support for D.C. Police Chief Pamela Smith. The District filed a lawsuit arguing the takeover is unlawful and chaotic. Protesters plan to continue their demonstrations until the order is ignored.
