💨 Abstract
Tudor Lakatos uses Elvis Presley's music to combat discrimination against Romania’s Roma minority. Dressed in classic Elvis attire, he performs in Romani, Romanian, and English. Lakatos sees himself as "channeling" Elvis to bridge communities and serve as a role model for Roma children, who have faced discrimination and poverty for centuries. The effort directly engages and motivates those within the minority community.
