💨 Abstract
Frederick Forsyth, renowned author of "The Day of the Jackal" and other thrillers, passed away on June 9, 2025 at age 86. A former Royal Air Force pilot and correspondent, Forsyth's 1971 novel achieved global fame and was adapted into film and TV. Over his career, he wrote more than 25 books, selling over 75 million copies.
