💨 Abstract
France's National Assembly is voting on a bill allowing adults with incurable illnesses to access lethal medication. If passed, the measure would permit French citizens or residents over 18 with specified conditions to request and self-administer lethal medication with medical oversight. The bill excludes patients with severe psychiatric conditions and neurodegenerative disorders. A parallel bill on palliative care is also up for vote.
