💨 Abstract
Andrei Kozlov, a 28-year-old former hostage of Hamas, uses his art to convey the juxtaposition of darkness and light he experienced during his eight-month captivity. Originally from St. Petersburg, Kozlov was captured during the Tribe of Nova music festival in southern Israel in 2023. Despite enduring harsh conditions and psychological torment, Kozlov found solace in art, documenting his experiences and aspirations in a notebook provided by his captors.
