💨 Abstract
On July, 11, 2025 Colonial police arrested Giuseppe Palermo, aka "Peppe,” an Italian mobster-linked to the ’ndrangheta mafia and wanted internationally under an Interpol red notice. Palazzo, captured in Colombia, allegedly oversaw the trafficking of cocaine from Latin America to Europe, managing illegal transportation routes. The ’ndrangheta, known for its expansive and clandestine operations, has significantly expanded its presence and influence beyond Italy.
