💨 Abstract
The European Court of Human Rights granted Caster Semenya a partial victory in her long-standing legal battle against track and field’s sex eligibility rules. The court ruled that her rights to a fair hearing were violated in Switzerland's Supreme Court and ordered the case to be retried. However, other aspects of her appeal were dismissed. This is related to claiming fairness and recognition in her seven-year legal fight against policies restricting women with naturally high testosterone levels from competing in certain events.
