💨 Abstract

The Justice Department has dropped its lawsuit against Peter Navarro, former White House trade adviser, accusing him of using an unofficial email for government work and retaining presidential records improperly. This case, filed in 2022, lacked explanation for its dismissal. Previously, Navarro was indicted for refusing Congress's Jan. 6 investigation and served four months for misdemeanors. As a trade adviser under Trump, Navarro has now been named senior counselor for Trump's second term.
