💨 Abstract
President Donald Trump is visiting a new immigration detention facility in the Florida Everglades, despite protests over environmental impact and concerns about its humanitarian effects. The facility, nicknamed "Alligator Alcatraz," is being built on an airstrip about 50 miles west of Miami. It could house 5,000 detainees and is located in a dangerous, isolated swamp. Nearly $200 million dollars is being partly funded by FEMA.
