Officers involved in Manhattan torture case on administrative leave. NYPD detectives are under investigation for their roles in a kidnapping and torture case involving a man held captive by two crypto investors in a Manhattan townhouse. The victim alleges he was tortured to reveal his Bitcoin password. Both detectives have been placed on modified leave. Mayoral spokesperson said the mayor suspects approval and accuses them on disturbing allegations. The victim is a 28-year-old Italian national, was held for 17 days.
