💨 Abstract
Loudoun County schools will use AI technology from VOLT AI to monitor security camera footage for weapons, fights, or suspicious gatherings. The software, piloted in high schools, will expand to elementary and middle schools, ensuring continuous surveillance in common areas. If it detects issues, it alerts staff for a human response. The district will spend $1.1 million in the first year, with plans to use this tech for five years.
