đź’¨ Abstract
Maryland Rep. Glenn Ivey will travel to El Salvador to advocate for Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident mistakenly deported earlier this year. Ivey aims to meet Garcia and press the Trump administration to comply with court orders to facilitate his return. The trip comes amid Ivey criticism of the administration's unwillingness to obey court directives. He also plans to discuss the detention agreement between the U.S. and El Salvador and meet with officials and advocates.
