💨 Abstract
Ocean City, Maryland, is considering new regulations for beachgoers. The city council may ban large tents and canopies that use anchoring systems extending beyond their footprint, as they have received complaints about these structures taking up too much space and blocking views. The proposed ordinance aims to eliminate safety hazards and ensure lifeguards have clear sightlines. Unattended canopies set up before 10 a.m. would also be prohibited.
