đź’¨ Abstract

The mayor of Baltimore, Brandon Scott, announced that the city has reduced 3,500 vacant properties since 2020, aiming to lower homelessness by increasing affordable housing. Despite progress, challenges remain, particularly with older adults and families with children. Maryland has seen a 28% decrease in homelessness since 2015. Scott and other officials emphasize tailored solutions and targeted policies to address homelessness effectively.
