💨 Abstract
Starting July 13, the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) in Maryland will relocate career firefighters from the Hyattstown Volunteer Fire Department to the Rockville-Aspen Hill area to address higher service demands. The Hyattstown station will stay open but will be staffed only by volunteers. The new Clarksburg station, opened in November 2024, will cover the Hyattstown area, ensuring adequate service.
