💨 Abstract
NASA's Perseverance rover on Mars detected the first visible aurora on another planet. Scientists observed a green aurora in March 2024, triggered by a solar storm. This event was visible due to a solar flare and subsequent coronal mass ejection. The rover, exploring Jezero Crater since 2021, collected samples that may reveal ancient microbial life and provides insights into space weather forecasting for Mars.
