💨 Abstract
The Trump administration has rapidly expanded the 287(g) program, which delegates immigration enforcement powers to state and local law enforcement agencies. Since January 2025, ICE has signed 588 agreements with local and state agencies across 40 states, aiming to deport as many undocumented immigrants as possible. There are three types of agreements: "jail services," "warrant service," and "task force."
