💨 Abstract
A federal judge in Maryland will hear arguments this Friday about whether the Trump administration can use the state secrets privilege to withhold information on the repatriation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland construction worker mistakenly deported to El Salvador in March. Judge Paula Xinis ordered his return in April, but the administration claims diplomatic negotiations prevent transparency. Abrego Garcia's lawyers argue the administration has made no effort to bring him back, citing public statements from Trump and officials.
