💨 Abstract
Gregory Hunt is scheduled for execution in Alabama for the 1988 murder of Karen Lane after a bitter dispute. Lane, beaten to death in her apartment, sustained over 60 injuries. Hunt's legal team contested false prosecutor statements, but their request for a stay was denied. Hunt admitted to drug use and jealousy during the crime and expressed remorse. Alabama plans to execute him using nitrogen gas, a method Hunt chose before it was developed.
