💨 Abstract
Four days after the armed attack on Colombian Senator Miguel Uribe Turbay, his lawyer, Víctor Mosquera Marín, blamed the state and government for inadequate protection. Mosquera Marín stated that Uribe Turbay's team had requested increased security 40 times over three years, but the government did not act. Uribe Turbay, a member of the opposition Centro Democrático and presidential candidate, remains in critical condition but shows signs of neurological improvement.
