💨 Abstract
In response to the deaths of two Azerbaijani citizens during police raids in Yekaterinburg, Azerbaijan canceled all cultural events planned by Russian institutions. The Azerbaijani government demanded a full investigation and summoned the Russian Embassy's chargé d’affaires. The raids, which resulted in injuries and detentions, were criticized as ethnic-targeted violence, with the victims' brother describing them as savage and unjust. Azerbaijan also canceled a planned visit by a Russian deputy prime minister, citing inappropriate circumstances.
