💨 Abstract
The Homeland Security secretary praised Florida's proposal to build an immigration detention facility, dubbed "Alligator Alcatraz," in a swamp to cut costs. The facility is almost operational. Meanwhile, during a Latin America trip, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem secured agreements with Honduras and Guatemala to become safe third countries and aimed to boost security and combat drug cartels in the region. She also mentioned that policy actions have effectively reduced migration flows through Panama.
