💨 Abstract
Over 200 people in six southern U.S. states reported seeing a mysterious object streak across the sky on Thursday. The object, likely a meteor or space junk, was witnessed most notably in Georgia and South Carolina around 12:30 p.m. Reports included sightings of a bright fireball with a smoke trail, and some residents reported hearing sonic booms and finding rocks or debris in their homes.
