💨 Abstract
Authorities in Florida cannot enforce a new state law that makes it a misdemeanor for individuals to enter the state illegally while court challenges are ongoing. District Judge Kathleen Williams and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals have both denied Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier's requests to suspend an injunction blocking the law's enforcement. Uthmeier had internally disagreed with the injunctions which the courts deemed a violation of the legal process.
