💨 Abstract
An Idaho judge has ruled that the murder trial of Bryan Kohberger, accused of stabbing four University of Idaho students to death, will proceed as scheduled. Judge Steven Hippler denied defense requests to delay the trial and to present theories of alternate perpetrators, deeming the evidence irrelevant and speculative. Jury selection begins August 4, with opening arguments expected around August 18. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
