💨 Abstract
Immigrant rights groups have sued the Trump administration to block a deal sending migrant detainees to El Salvador. The lawsuit argues that this move violates the U.S. Constitution by denying detainees due process and access to U.S. courts. The agreement, which involves housing migrants in notorious Salvadoran prisons, is also criticized for its harsh conditions and lack of legal basis. The administrations want to be able for the Salvadoran government to eventually send U.S. citizen criminals to these prisons.
