💨 Abstract
After a prolonged trial, no one will be convicted of murder in the case involving Atlanta rapper Young Thug and 27 others indicted on gang and racketeering charges. The prosecutors' strategy of using Georgia’s anti-racketeering law faced criticism for complicating the trial and holding defendants for extended periods. Prosecutors initially aimed to dismantle a violent street gang but ultimately, most defendants pleaded guilty to lesser charges or were acquitted.
