💨 Abstract
A small jet crashed in San Diego in May 2025, killing six aboard and injuring eight on the ground. The aircraft struck power lines and broke apart, hitting a home and damaging 20 vehicles. The pilot, navigating in fog, struggled with runway lights that had been out of service since 2022. Investigators are investigating whether the pilot was aware of the outage and a power surge that affected the weather system.
