💨 Abstract
A former DEA agent, Chad Scott, convicted of corruption, has written to President Donald Trump, seeking clemency by highlighting shared experiences. Scott argues that by showing him mercy, Trump would demonstrate his support for law enforcement. Since returning to the White House in January, Trump has granted clemency to over 1,600 individuals, including many political allies and Capitol riot convicts, bypassing the traditional nonpolitical vetting process.
