A 24-year-old Brooklyn man, Yongxian Huang, pleaded guilty to attempting to scam an elderly Bethesda, Maryland, couple out of their gold bars. Huang believed the replica gold bars were authentic and worth over $84,000. Montgomery County police set up a sting operation, leading to Huang's arrest in Brooklyn. He faces over 10 years in prison, with sentencing scheduled for July 11.
