💨 Abstract
On June 23, 2025, divers searched Lake Tahoe for two missing individuals after a boat capsized during a severe thunderstorm. Six people died, and two were rescued. The storm, which brought winds over 35 mph and 8-foot waves, surprised meteorologists due to its intensity and the unusually cool temperatures. The lake, popular for summer activities, saw significant damage to boats and marinas. Search efforts continued with help from multiple agencies.
