💨 Abstract
In Boston, a jury found Karen Read not guilty of second-degree murder in the death of her police officer boyfriend, John O’Keefe. However, she was convicted of drunk driving. The verdict followed 22 hours of deliberation. Prosecutors argued that Read left O’Keefe to die after a drunken argument. Defense attorney Alan Jackson accused the police of a cover-up, citing a biased investigator.
