💨 Abstract

A wildfire along the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, known as the Dragon Bravo Fire, has rapidly expanded due to dry conditions and strong winds, reducing containment to single digits. The fire, sparked by lightning on July 4, grew to over 110 square miles by mid-July. Firefighters are struggling due to extended active periods and lack of monsoon moisture. The blaze has destroyed historic structures and led to evacuations.
