💨 Abstract
A severe storm in Texas Hill Country resulted in at least 24 deaths in Kerr County, with many others missing, including over 20 girls from a summer camp. Nearly a foot of rain caused rapid flooding, destroying homes and sweeping away vehicles. Over 200 people were rescued, and the flood caught many by surprise despite weather warnings. The Guadalupe River's water level surged rapidly, reaching 29.5 feet in some areas.
