💨 Abstract
Heavy rain on Monday night caused flash flooding in parts of the U.S. Northeast, particularly in New Jersey and New York. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency, advising residents to stay indoors. In New Jersey, roads were inundated, stranding vehicles. In New York City, subway lines experienced severe delays due to flooding. Emergency services reported flash floods in parts of the city and mid-Hudson.
