💨 Abstract
The Pentagon has updated its list of disqualifying medical conditions for military service. Effective immediately, individuals with congestive heart failure, those undergoing treatment for schizophrenia, and those with a history of paraphilic disorders will no longer be eligible for medical waivers. The new rules, signed by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, also include multiple sclerosis, cystic fibrosis, past organ transplants, and recent suicide attempts as disqualifying conditions.
