💨 Abstract
Michael Gordon, who prosecuted many Capitol riot cases, sued the Justice Department claiming his firing was politically motivated. Gordon, along with two other former officials, allege they were terminated for their roles in prosecuting those involved in the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. Gordon received high performance ratings and denies any wrongdoing. He's seeking reinstatement, arguing that prosecutors should not be punished for doing their jobs.
