💨 Abstract
Flights at Reagan National Airport were suspended on Monday after a fire alarm went off in the control tower. The halt, effective from shortly before 10:45 a.m. until noon, was ordered by the FAA. This incident raised safety concerns, recalling the airport's history, including a deadly 2001 helicopter-airplane collision. The FAA did not confirm if an actual fire was detected.
