💨 Abstract

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva held a 30-minute phone call where Putin discussed his meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump. Lula expressed Brazil's support for peace in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and reiterated the interest in strengthening Russian-Brazilian dialogue and cooperation within BRICS. Amid U.S.-Brazil tensions over tariffs and judicial pressures, Lula proposed offsetting Trump's 50% tariffs on Brazilian goods.
