💨 Abstract
A Rhode Island man, Nicholas Rossi, was found guilty of raping a former girlfriend in Utah in 2008. Rossi, who had faked his death to evade charges, was extradited from Scotland after being recognized by hospital staff. He had previously used multiple aliases and faces additional charges, including another rape case. Prosecutors described Rossi as using charm to exploit vulnerabilities. His accuser testified about his hostile behavior and financial exploitation before the assault.
