💨 Abstract
Heavy rain and flooding in Tennessee killed a mother, father, and child after a tree fell on their car in East Ridge. Flooding prompted rescues and closed parts of Interstate 24. Hamilton County declared a state of emergency, and a flood watch was issued, warning of potential extensive flooding and storms. First responders, including swiftwater rescue teams, assisted trapped residents and motorists. The sheriff described the flooding as unprecedented in its extent.
