💨 Abstract
Ford is scaling back its electric vehicle (EV) plans due to financial losses and low consumer demand. The company will stop producing the F-150 Lightning electric pickup and instead focus on hybrid and extended-range EVs. Ford's Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center will now produce gas-powered trucks, and its Ohio plant will make gas and hybrid vans. The company expects half of its global volume to be hybrids, extended-range EVs, and full EVs by 2030.
