An appointee of New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, Catherine Almonte Da Costa, resigned after old social media posts featuring antisemitic tropes resurfaced. Da Costa, who was to lead the office of appointments, apologized for the posts made in 2011 and 2012. Mamdani accepted her resignation, stating she expressed deep remorse.
