💨 Abstract

An interstellar comet, 3I/ATLAS, first spotted in July, will pass near Earth on December 19, 2025, at a distance of 270 million kilometers. It won't be visible to the naked eye, requiring a telescope of at least 20 centimeters for observation. The Virtual Telescope Project will stream the event live.
