💨 Abstract
The city of Antioch, California, has agreed to implement reforms following a scandal involving racist and sexist texts, excessive force, and falsified records by some police officers. The settlement includes enhanced training, an independent review board, and a warning system for problematic officers. This follows a $4.6 million settlement for damages and an ongoing investigation by the FBI and county prosecutors. Three former officers were convicted for their roles in the misconduct.
