💨 Abstract
Four centrist Republicans—Brian Fitzpatrick, Robert Bresnahan, Ryan Mackenzie from Pennsylvania, and Mike Lawler from New York—joined Democrats to force a House vote on extending Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies. This move, which required 218 signatures, aims to extend the subsidies for three years, countering a GOP health care bill that does not address rising premiums as current tax credits expire at year's end.
