💨 Abstract
Willie Anderson, a significant figure in Clemson football history, passed away at 72. He was both an All-ACC player and a full-time assistant coach on the Tigers' 1981 national championship team. Anderson played for Clemson from 1972-74 and was a standout middle guard and linebacker. He went on to coach the team's tight ends and defensive ends, contributing to the 1981 national title.
