💨 Abstract
Floods in Mokwa, Niger State, Nigeria, have killed at least 88 people, with more at risk. The floods, caused by prolonged heavy rains and exacerbated by a dam collapse, submerged the town on Thursday. Rescue efforts are ongoing. Initial reports indicated lower fatalities, but the death toll continues to rise.
