💨 Abstract
A new study warns that global ice sheets are on track to melt uncontrollably, causing several meters of sea-level rise and catastrophic coastal migrations, even if global warming is kept below 1.5°C. Scientists found that current and projected temperatures may not be sufficient to save the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets, which together could raise sea levels by 65 meters.
